God Knows Me

God Knows Me…
2Sam. 7:18 ¶ Then King David went in and sat before the LORD, and he said: ¶ “Who am I, O Sovereign LORD, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?

It takes humility to see that all the blessings in your life are from God and not because you deserve them, but because of God’s love for you. God knows you through and through and desires to bless you. God knows your faults and your strengths and still loves you and desires to spend eternity with you. This is shown by His sending His Son to die for you.
No one could pay the price for your sins but Jesus.  God provided this eternal blessing of grace for you because He loves you. Who are you to deserve such a precious gift? God sees you as precious because of your faith in Jesus. God who defines love, loves you even when you have been unlovable. God is love.
So, no matter what life throws – no mater how beaten down or overwhelmed you may feel -- you can know that God is thinking of you. You can thank God that He is mindful of you. You can praise God because He loves you unconditionally and has brought you this far and is more than able to take you farther. Take the time to thank God and put your faith and trust in Him. Who are you? Through your faith in Jesus you are a precious child of God.

Service From the Master

Service From the Master

John 13:14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.

Jesus is Master of all and becomes servant of all. He teaches his disciples that service and leadership is more than holding titles. Jesus shows them that He is respected and treated as Lord and Teacher, but he washes their feet. Washing feet during the biblical time was the chore of the lowest of slave in the household. Jesus is willing to humble himself and serve his followers. Now Jesus calls his disciples to serve each other.

Serving is an act of humility and obedience to the call Jesus has on your life. To humble and serve is to know your true power and purpose in God’s will. You do not mind being humiliated to lift up Jesus. Jesus served all of humanity by doing God’s will and becoming sin offering for the world on the cross. Jesus gave the charge to wash another’s feet as Jesus.
Humble yourself and bend own and trade your title for a towel and wash others feet. Let Jesus be lifted up in you laying down your pride. See how much more you can honor Jesus in the simplicity of service. Wash one another’s feet.

Leave Your Life of Sin...

John 8:11 ¶ “No one, sir,” she said. ¶ “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”

Repentance is leaving your life of sin. You can do this with confidence because God is faithful and just to forgive you of your sins when you come to him confessing your sins. Because of God’s forgiveness you should live a new life that is pleasing in God’s eyes. Just as Jesus did not condemn the sinner, but charged her to leave her life of sin. You too should leave your life of sin.
Sin left uncheck will rule over you; will trap you in guilt, condemnation and persecution. Jesus died to free you from the slavery of sin. Changing your life is a personal decision you make to about-face, repent, to change your life direction. Repentance is a change of your life to live for God.
About-face and leave sin behind you. Jesus forgives you of all your sins. This forgiveness is to free you of the guilt the shame and pain that sin brings, so you can move forward.  Move forward with confidence that God has forgiven you through Jesus. Move forward with the liberty of being not guilty because of Jesus work on the cross for your salvation.  Trust God and live in his will and leave sin behind.

Prayer is a Priority

Luke 18:1 ¶ Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.

Jesus teaches on prayer because prayer is central to your relationship with Him. We should pray and not give up. You should come humble to God the Father and just talk to Him. Talk to God knowing how great is His love. Knowing how great His love is removes fear.

Do not come in prayer, as if you need to please God or out of obligation as like a job. Come to God in prayer with respect, humility and with thanksgiving. Come knowing that He will listen to you, his child and will meet your needs. Come knowing God sees past your problems. God sees your eternal needs and is able to meet them. We needed to be saved and God sent Jesus to answer that prayer. You need direction in your life Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to guide you and keep you. So much is available from God through Prayer.

Take the time to pray to God to show you His good and perfect will for you in your life. Pray and do not stop in prayer until God answers your prayer. Pray with confidence that God will meet your needs.

See the Joy

Heb. 12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God (NIV).

Jesus lived with joy facing the shame. When your life becomes hard fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of your faith. Jesus pioneered the path for you to follow. Jesus shows how with joy endure hardship as a good soldier and see the true purpose of your work for the Lord. Your work is not in vain.

As you follow Christ remember why Jesus lived and how he died. Jesus lived to teach and show you the way to the cross. Jesus lived knowing the shame, pain and rejection he was going to face on the cross. Through all of that Jesus saw beyond the cross, which is the object of shame, and saw joy before Him. The joy Jesus saw is the sitting at the right hand of the throne of God because of the completion of His work.

Follow Jesus with that same determination and see the glory that will come to you by being obedient in your life to the call of God and surrendering to Jesus and fully seeking the kingdom of heaven with all your heart.

No Worries

Matt. 6:26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? (NIV)

Running around in life with so many can cause for anxiety and doubts. Wondering how your next bill will be paid, or family member is ill. Wondering where your next meal will come from. Jesus is showing that we should not allow our life be overwhelmed with things out of our control. God is in control and He knows how to take care of you.

Look at the birds of the air, they do not prepare food for themselves, but still have food to eat that is provided by the Heavenly Father. Will God not provide for you, his child as he does for the birds? Did God not send Jesus do die on the cross for your sins? God will not withhold what is needed for his children just as he did not withhold is only son, Jesus. Jesus encourages you to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you. These things describe is the things you need food, clothing. God will take care of the necessities. No need to worry knowing God has you covered.

Blessing in Godliness

Blessings in Godliness
Psa. 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,… (KJV)”

Stress free living and joy from obedience. Unwanted stress comes for pressure to do what success does not come from. Success comes from obedience to God and His holy word. Fruitfulness of life and peace with God come from following his word to separate from the wicked. Beings a saint is a blessing that comes from God calling his children to walk in holiness. Desiring to please God leads to desire to know his law and follow them and not worry about upcoming judgment but anticipating the up coming of His glory.

Live with God’s word in your heart and see the blessings of godliness in your life and see how your life is fruitful were it counts most.

Come to be Filled

"Mark 1:32 ¶ That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed. Mark 1:33 The whole town gathered at the door, (NIV)."

Come to Jesus with reverence and humility. They were coming on the day of the Sabbath. This day is for the day of rest and they showed reverence in waiting until the day began a new at evening. They came to have their lives changed and healed through Jesus.
You can come to Jesus to have your life changed and made complete. All the sick and demon-possessed came. Will you press to see Jesus? Will you come as you are looking for healing? Jesus wants to not only just change your life but also improve your way of living. You can come with your broken pieces of your life and He can show you how God can work all things for good. You came blind but now see Jesus for the first time for who he really is. He can make you whole.
Your healing from Jesus is not meant to be selfish. You are to tell others and bring them to meet Jesus. You can bring your friends, family or strangers to your church, small group or Bible study. They may come one way and leave better than they came all because of they found Jesus who can speak healing into their life.
Come to Jesus just as you are and leave better than you were.

Blessed are You

“Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers… For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way  of the wicked will perish (Psalm 1:1-6).”

Happiness in life comes from keeping God’s word. Psalms 1 shows what keeping God’s word looks like. It looks like a beautiful tree in bloom in due season. It looks like a man or a woman not giving in to gossip and guilty actions.
Sin comes into your to steal your happiness. Remove it immediately through confession and move closer to God through His word and your confession of Jesus Christ as Lord. A snare of the enemy is to trap you around ungodly people to keep you polluted with evil and guilt.
Obedience brings joy and God’s favor and a fruitful life. God’s word will inspires your life and bring you success. For the wicked will perish but they that way of the righteous God watches over.

Sacrafice Worth Giving

Sacrifice Worth Giving
Matt. 13:44 ¶ “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.

The kingdom of heaven is worth living for and worth all that you have. Jesus shares the parable of the man who finds a hidden treasure in the field and does not want to lose what he found he covers it up. He wants to posses what he found and spends all that he has in order to gain this treasure, which is like the kingdom of heaven. In essence the man came out with a bargain. He sold all he had and gain more than what he had. Jesus makes your life precious.
Having Jesus in your life is worth more than anything the world has to offer. The sacrifice of giving up what you have for Jesus shows your love to him over the world. Sacrificing to follow Jesus is commanded by Christ, Jesus said, “For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it  (Matt. 16:25).” Jesus gave the example on how He gave up his life so that you do not have to experience death, but have everlasting life. Jesus gave up all he had in order for you to experience the kingdom of heaven.
How much is too much to give up to follow Jesus? If you have a limit in mind remember Jesus gave up his life for you.
